General Policy
Authors who publish in BETA-BAREKENG : Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science retain the copyright of their work.
By submitting and publishing in this journal, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, preserve, and communicate the published article as the official version of record.
The rights granted to the journal apply only to the published article and are necessary to enable publication, indexing, archiving, dissemination, and long-term preservation of the scholarly record.
The published work will be made available under the journal’s official open access license policy.
Rights Granted to the Journal
In order to publish and preserve the scholarly record, authors grant BETA-BAREKENG : Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science the non-exclusive right to:
- publish the article as the first formal version of record;
- identify itself as the original publisher of the article;
- store, reproduce, display, and distribute the article in print, electronic, and archival forms;
- include the article in indexing services, databases, repositories, abstracting systems, and preservation services;

These rights are granted on a non-exclusive basis, meaning authors continue to retain copyright.
Scholarly Reuse by Authors
Authors may reuse and share their own published article for personal and scholarly purposes without requesting permission from the journal, provided that the original publication in this journal is properly acknowledged.
- classroom teaching and course materials;
- conference presentations and academic seminars;
- theses and dissertations;
- future compilations of the author’s own work;
- institutional, non-commercial, and scholarly dissemination.
Reuse and Distribution
Authors are permitted and encouraged to disseminate their work widely after publication, provided that the article’s initial publication in this journal is clearly acknowledged.
Any reuse or redistribution should include complete bibliographic information and, where possible, a link to the official journal version.
Readers and third parties may use the article in accordance with the journal’s official open access license terms stated elsewhere on the journal website.
Third-Party Copyrighted Material
If authors include any material in the manuscript that is copyrighted by another person or organization, such as figures, tables, images, charts, maps, questionnaires, software outputs, or substantial text excerpts, the authors are responsible for obtaining written permission from the copyright holder when required.
Authors must also provide appropriate acknowledgment and source credit for all reused material.
The journal reserves the right to request documentary evidence of permission before publication.
Repository and Online Sharing
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post, archive, and share their work online, including on institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networking platforms, both before and after publication, provided that ethical and citation standards are respected.
Such dissemination may help improve the visibility, accessibility, and citation of the work.
Publishing Agreement
Authors may be required to confirm, through the journal’s submission or publication process, that they are entitled to publish the work, that the manuscript complies with publication ethics, and that the rights granted to the journal are sufficient for publication and dissemination of the final version of record.
This confirmation may form part of the journal’s copyright form, license form, or publication agreement.
